WCA, Windows Compatibility Advantage, is a program that is developed to help ISV’s with our OS patches and security updates. These occur every other month on the second Tuesday. The testing is free.
Product Development The goal of the Windows Compatibility Advantage Program is to help prevent a security update or service pack from introducing aregression that breaks your applications, and to help ensure that yourproducts work with the Windows 7 operating system. The way the programworks is you provide titles and guidance and we do the testing and provideresults via a secure participant's portal site. We are inviting you toparticipate.
If you want to join the testing, you can Email me I will supply your app and guidance and WCA will test and make sure that you haven’t done anything to break your app. WCA can fix 90% of the issues. This testing helps us discover problems early. If we discover an issue that WCA can’t fix-we contact you to see what can be done. You are issued a pin to a secure site to review the test results.
In addition, we are doing some appcompat testing for Win7 now. It’s a great way to get on the Logo wagon.
